The SYSU Online International Summer Camp on E-Commerce in GBA is organized by the Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) in partnership with Africa China Cooperation Association for Development (ACCAD), and sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

With the official signing of RCEP (the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) Agreement, and with the impact of the COVID-19 on the global economy, the world is facing many new opportunities and challenges. It is the unanimous demands for the world to achieve interconnection through new technologies and new businesses and to build high-quality cooperation.
The camp focuses on the two themes of « Cross-border e-commerce: opening the door to the Chinese market » and « new media live broadcast talent training ». Through the sharing of course content, interactive communication, case analysis and seminars, which helps the students to understand the development opportunities and latest trends of the Alibaba ecosystem, cross-border e-commerce and new media marketing-live broadcast, and explore new business opportunities in the digital economy era!
1. Camp details:
- Duration: July 5-30, 2021 (Live & Pre-recorded Courses)
- Platform: DingTalk
- Language: English.
- Live Courses: 15 hours of Professional Pre-Recorded Courses; 15 hours of Enterprises Online-Visiting and Executives’ Experience Sharing, which are taught in Chinese with English translation.
(Total: 30 hours. You can watch live playback and pre-recorded courses in DingTalk group when you are available before August 31, 2021.)
2. Programme
The camp will consists of the following three parts:
(1) Compulsory Courses: Online Courses + Enterprises Online-Visiting and Executives’ Experience Sharing, those who pass the assessment will receive an e-certificate issued by Sun Yat-sen University, and those who are outstanding in the assessment will receive an e-certificate issued by Alibaba Taobao University.

(2) E-commerce Innovation and Entrepreneurship Skills Competition: the competition is optional. Interested students can try to use Cross-Border E-Commerce or Live E-Commerce platforms to sell goods through the knowledge you have learned during your participation in the camp. The competition rules will be notified separately. We will issue a skill competition certificate to outstanding students.
(3) The purpose of the camp: we hope that the people from international, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will know more about China. While improving your innovation and entrepreneurship skills, we hope that everyone will never forget to give back to society, help disadvantaged groups in society. No matter whether you have participated in the skill competition or not, we sincerely hope that you can donate all or part of the E-Commerce actual sales proceeds, or in the form of voluntary donations, donate to our school’s designated assistance units or poverty-stricken areas. The detailed implementation rules will be notified separately. We will issue donation honor certificates to the students who participated in the donation. It is optional, you can choose whether or not you do it or have it.
